The home owner expanded her bathroom by moving a wall 18”. But that left the existing window in an awkward position, splitting the shower and in the way of hanging a medicine cabinet or mirror above the vanity.
We use a gas powered saw to carefully cut through the brick and cement block. This shot is actually cutting out space for the inset medicine cabinet. Same saw, same idea- the old cast iron vent that was no longer in use was cut out as well.
Then we closed off the old window with plywood to be covered by stucco on the outside. Here you can see the frame for the medicine cabinet
